The Jackie design was first introduced in 1953 to mark the 50th anniversary
of the Teddy bear. The round shape, playful smile, and airbrushed belly but-
ton set it apart from any other Steiff design. 2007 marks the centennial of the
"Year of the Teddy Bear," in which Steiff manufactured one million Teddy
bears in Giengen/Brenz, Germany. In celebration, the Jackie design, which
collector's have adored for over half a century, has been recreated to mark yet
another special anniversary for Steiff!
Created as a special companion piece to the beloved White Jackie from the
2006 Paws Across America, the White Jackie and Black Jackie bears make a
stunning pair! Black Jackie is available exclusively at the 2007 "Million Hugs". He stands 10" tall and is limited to the duration of the Million Hugs Event
