Bagi, a lady Teddy bear, is modeled on the original dating from 1908 that was auctioned at Christie’s in London in 2003 for close to $18,000! Bagi is five way jointed and lovingly crafted by hand from the finest mohair plush. She wears a feminine jacket and skirt of light-blue and cornflower-blue felt. Bagi originally belonged to a little child who wanted a boy Teddy, not a girl. So he removed her skirt and put it away in a drawer, but kept the jacket on the Teddy. Many years later the Teddy’s skirt was found, still in its original condition and color. Teddy’s jacket had faded in color over time. A delightful Teddy with a wonderful history! She stands 13" tall.
